# Privacy policy

This website runs no analytics and loads nothing from a third party. It sets no cookies. This policy covers the little it does collect, and the data you send us when we work together.

## 1. Who is responsible

**Controller (responsible for your data)**

Meitaim OÜ

**Registry code**

17035899

**Registered in**

Estonia

Privacy questions and rights requests go to [privacy@meitaim.dev](mailto:privacy@meitaim.dev).

## 2. What this website collects

Almost nothing. This website has no accounts of its own and no tracking script. The waitlist and the support form are the only places where you send us something. You join the waitlist with your Meitaim account. The support form passes the amount you chose to a PayNow checkout.

It sets no cookies. While you are signed in to the waitlist, your browser remembers your sign-in, which the waitlist needs to work. There is nothing to consent to, so there is no banner.

The Weeb mode switch remembers your choice in your browser's local storage. That choice stays on your device and never reaches us.

Fonts and images come from this website. Nothing loads from another company while you read.

Cloudflare records each request in a server log, which includes your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user agent string. That is how any web server works. We use those logs to keep the site available and to stop abuse, and we do not build a profile from them.

## 3. What you send us

When you contact us by email, on Discord, or by any other means, we process what you send: your name, your address on that channel, and whatever the message contains.

When we work together, we also process the details needed to bill you and to keep accurate records.

## 4. The waitlist

A product that is not out yet has a waitlist, and joining it is the one place this site stores something about you. You join with your Meitaim account.

We keep only which Meitaim account joined and which products you are waiting for. To tell you a product is out, we use the email address on your Meitaim account.

You can leave a list on the waitlist page at any time.

## 5. Your Meitaim account

This section covers your Meitaim account and the Meitaim sign-in pages. You use the account to sign in to Meitaim apps, such as the waitlist on this site and the page where you see your payments and subscriptions.

The account holds your email address, your name and your username, and what you sign in with: a hash of your password, your passkeys and your second factors. If you link a Google or GitHub account, it also holds the identifier that provider gives you, and the provider tells us your email address and name when you sign in with it. We also keep security logs of sign-ins and changes to the account, with the IP address and browser user agent string they came from.

## 6. Why, and on what basis

**To answer you**

We read and reply to what you send. The basis is our legitimate interest in responding to someone who contacted us.

**To provide services**

We process your data to deliver work, to bill, and to keep records. The basis is performance of our contract with you.

**To meet legal duties**

Accounting and tax law requires us to keep certain records. The basis is our legal obligation.

**To tell you a product is out**

We use the email address on your Meitaim account to tell you when that product is out, and for nothing else. We send nothing else to it, and we pass it to no one. The basis is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time by leaving the list or by writing to us.

**To sign you in**

We use your Meitaim account to sign you in and to show you your own purchases and subscriptions. The basis is performance of our contract with you.

**To keep your account safe**

We use the security logs to protect your account. The basis is our legitimate interest in keeping accounts safe.

**To deliver what you bought**

We store your orders and subscriptions, what PayNow tells us about them, and which Meitaim account they belong to. We use them to give you what you bought, to manage your subscriptions, and to show your payment history. The basis is performance of our contract with you.

**To handle refunds and disputes**

We use the same purchase records to answer refund requests and payment disputes. The basis is our legitimate interest in settling claims about a purchase.

**To protect the service**

We use server logs to detect and stop abuse and fraud. The basis is our legitimate interest in protecting our systems.

## 7. Who else sees it

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. These providers process it on our behalf:

**Cloudflare**

Serves this website and our other services, records the request logs described above, and keeps backups of our records. Read the [Cloudflare privacy policy](https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/).

**Hosting provider**

Hosts the servers in the EU that store your Meitaim account, the waitlist and purchase records.

**Resend**

Sends emails about your Meitaim account. Read the [Resend privacy policy](https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy).

PayNow sells our products as merchant of record. It is not our processor and decides for itself how it uses your data:

**PayNow Services, Inc.**

Collects your payment and billing details. When you support us, PayNow links your Discord account so you get the supporter role. Your card details go to PayNow, never to us. PayNow tells us what you bought and the state of your subscriptions. Read the [PayNow Services, Inc. privacy policy](https://paynow.gg/legal/privacy-policy).

We also disclose data where the law requires it.

## 8. How long we keep it

**Server logs**

Kept for a short period by Cloudflare, then deleted.

**Correspondence**

Kept while it is useful to the relationship, and to prevent abuse.

**Waitlist entries**

Kept until the product is out, until you leave the list, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Write to privacy@meitaim.dev and we delete them that day.

**Purchase records**

Kept while your subscription runs, then for three years after your last order, the general limitation period for claims from a transaction under Estonian law. Which account they belong to is kept until you ask us to delete that link at privacy@meitaim.dev.

**Your Meitaim account**

Kept until you delete it or ask us to. Then it can no longer be used to sign in. Within 90 days of that, we delete its security logs, including IP addresses and user agent strings. After that, we keep only a record that the account existed and when it was created and deleted, with no contact details, IP addresses or user agent strings.

**Backups**

Overwritten within 90 days. Data we delete is gone from our backups within 90 days of leaving our live records.

**Billing records**

Kept for seven years, the period Estonian accounting law requires.

## 9. Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:

- Ask for a copy of your personal data.
- Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Have your data deleted.
- Have our processing restricted.
- Object to processing we base on legitimate interest.
- Receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.

We answer within one month. If a request is complex we may extend that by two further months, and we tell you inside the first month if we do. If we take no action, we tell you why inside the first month.

You may also complain to the supervisory authority in Estonia (Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate), or to the one where you live.

To exercise any of these rights, write to [privacy@meitaim.dev](mailto:privacy@meitaim.dev).

## 10. Changes

We may change this policy. The date at the top of this page is the date of the version you are reading.
